Obituary for Imogene Suggs

Imogene Elizabeth Suggs, age 86 of Sevierville, passed away Saturday, June 30, 2018.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Sevierville and a 50 year member of the Sevier County Volunteer Rescue Squad Crewettes. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Ray Suggs and first born son Dale Suggs. She is also preceded by her parents Henry and Maude Terry, sister and brother-in-law Wilma and Max Ramsy, sister-in-law Doris Terry, special family member Dale Hardin.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Carroll and Patty Suggs; daughter Charlotte Knight; grandchildren Lori Barnes and husband Mark, Chris Suggs, Amy Dongarra and husband Ben; great-grandchildren Riley, Jacob and Aly Hutchins, Colin and Nolan Suggs,Ava and Bella Dongarra; sister and brother-in-law Lucy and Billy Maples; brother Reaford Terry; brother and sister-in-law Kenneth and Margaret Terry; Special family, Delane Hardin, several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to extend a very special and heartfelt thank you to staff of LeConte Medical Center Staff who were involved in Imogene’s care. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Helping Hands Ministry of First Baptist Church, 317 Parkway, Sevierville, TN 37862.

The family will receive friends from 5-7PM Thursday with funeral service to follow at 7PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Hyder officiating. Music will be provided by Rev. Scott Andrews. Family and friends will leave 1:30 PM Friday in procession to Eden Cemetery for a 2 PM graveside service and interment. Online condolences may be made at www.atchleyfuneralhome.com
