EFFLANDT, BRENT CROFT – 49, of Sevierville, Tennessee, died Tuesday morning August 20, 2013, at Fort Sanders Medical Center. Born June 16, 1964, in Moline, Illinois, he was the beloved son of Elaine Wells and Ralph Efflandt and loving brother of Bruce Efflandt, Beth W. Viloria and husband, Andrew, Susan Isaac and husband, Walter.
After graduation from Sevier County High School, Brent followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, Paul Tallman, to become a skilled machinist for 20 years. He loved history and was especially knowledgeable about WWII, planes and automobiles. In 1999, Brent appeared in the movie, October Sky, as a machinist at the mine. Generous, intelligent, honest and kind, he is deeply missed by his family, friends and adoring pets, Duke and Hershey.
Brent is survived by his parents, brother and sisters; uncle and aunt, Paul and Karen Tallman; step-sister, Cheryl Johnson; nieces and nephews, Amanda Helton, Alesia Efflandt, Alexander Efflandt and Nicholas Efflandt; and a host of cousins and dear friends.
