Johnny Michael Myers, age 70 of Pigeon Forge, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of Pigeon Forge. He loved farming with his parents when he was younger and was known to many as the "Mayor of Middle Creek". Johnny was a contractor and built many homes in Sevier County over his 40 year career.
Mr. Myers was a member of Little Cove Baptist Church. He was an Army veteran and served in Vietnam, where he received Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Grace Myers; brother, Ronald Myers; mother-in-law, Doris McFall; brother-in-law, Howard McClure.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Peggy Reagan Myers; daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Steve Catlett. Light of his life were his grandsons, Kendall, Carson and Conner; He is also survived by his brother, Steve Myers and wife Barbara; sister, Charlotte Myers; brothers-in-law, Troy Reagan, Jack Reagan and wife Edna; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Edwards and husband Clarence, Elizabeth Shultz and husband Gary, Sue Cotta and husband David, Fletta Gibson and husband Junior; many nieces and nephews; and special friend, Jim Ogle.
The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Wednesday with funeral service to follow at 7 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home. Rev. Jack Parton will officiate and a eulogy will be given by Paul Whaley. Interment will be 11 AM Thursday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Steve Catlett, H. Ray Williams, Steve Myers, Conner Catlett, Paul Whaley, Steven Myers, Kendall Rolen, and Carson Catlett. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post # 104.
