Albert began his full time career in funeral service in 1971, but actually started working in the family business as a young boy. He is married to the former Lucy Rambo, and they have three children, Adam, Marguerite, and Reed, three granddaughters, Kennedy Robyn, Addison Reed, and Alexis Lucy, and three grandsons, Mason, Bo and Bennett. Albert is a member of the First United Methodist Church, Sevierville. Albert is a graduate of John A. Gupton College in Nashville, TN, served as president of its Alumni Association and is currently a trustee. He is a past-president of the Sevierville Kiwanis Club, and a member of the Leadership Sevier class of 2000 and Sevierville Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year for 2016. With his three children being very active in sports, Albert has donated many hours to youth athletics in Sevier County. His dedication has paid off in that all three of his children went to college on athletic scholarships. Professionally, Albert has served the Tennessee Funeral Directors Association as a member of its Legislative Committee as well as serving tenure as East Director. He is currently the President of the Independent Funeral Group. The IFG is an organization of over 90 independently owned funeral homes from three states, Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia. The unity the Independent Funeral Group affords its members enables them to obtain the benefits of the larger corporations without losing their ability to control their own business or compromising the integrity they have developed in their communities.
