Obituary for William Roy Kirkland

William “Roy” Kirkland, age 78, of South Knoxville, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018. He was a member of Tarklin Valley Baptist Church. Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Kirkland, daughter, Cynthia Kirkland, grandson, Zachary Kirkland, brother, Earl Kirkland, parents William Sr. and Frances Kirkland.

Son and daughter-in-law: Randy and Cheri Kirkland
Daughter and son-in-law: Debbie and Alan Denney
Grandchildren: Cara Barton, Mark Denney and Brooke Denney
Great-grandchild: McKinlee Barton
Brother and sister-in-law: John Kirkland and wife JoAnn
Sisters and brothers-in-law: Faye Bible and husband Dana, Phyllis King and husband Bruce, Martha McDaniel, Nancy Hudgens and husband Larry
Sister-in-law: Marina Kirkland
Several nieces and nephews
Special Friend: Nancy Kelly

Funeral Service 7 PM Thursday in Atchley’s Seymour Chapel with Pastor Bruce Yates and Rev. Tom McLemore officiating. Interment 9:30 AM Friday in East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery (John Sevier).
