Obituary for Rev. David Charles Beason

Rev. David Charles Beason, age 78, of Sevierville, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018. David was the pastor of Smithwood Baptist Church and various churches in Sevier County where he preached God’s word and was a Gospel music singer. He retired from the Sevier County Schools Maintenance Department.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Dorothy Matthews Beason.

Survivors:
Wife: Lee Jane Beason
Son and daughter-in-law: John David and Melanie Beason
Grandchildren: Makayla, Dakota, Nicole, and Matthew
Sister: Barbara Beason Flynn
Brother: Floyd Earl Beason, Jr.
Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Rev. Harold and Pauline Spicer, Ruth and Carl Loveday, Kate Stinnett
Brother-in-law: Ralph Ogle
Niece and nephew: Joe and Linda Beason


The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Monday with a funeral service to follow at 7 PM in Atchley’s Smoky Mtn. Chapel in Pigeon Forge. Rev. Joe Wear and Rev. Jeff Cogdill officiating. Family and friends will meet 11 AM Tuesday in Smoky Mountain Memory Gardens for interment. Online condolences can be made at www.atchleyfuneralhome.com.
